Friday / Saturday - 4 & 5 April 2025 - Bari
There's always lots of preparation to be done, making the
interior habitable and working on deck. As always, a few things needed fixing, some that we knew about and we had bought parts with us, and
some unexpected. There was a lull in the
wind on Friday evening and we managed to get the jib on, so we will have some
sail power.
By the evening, all was sufficiently ready for us to sleep
on board, but we enjoyed a super meal at another local eatery.

More of the same on Saturday. First thing there was no wind, so we were able to put the mainsail on.
This takes quite a while as it is large and unwieldy, and like the jib
has battens that have to be secured into the sail. It's always fun to have a shopping trip
into Bari city centre to get supplies of fresh food. The quality here is just so good.
We went for a celebratory gelato after dinner on board. Again the gelato is devine. The shop was
doing a roaring trade, and there was a massive queue, everyone togged up in winter coats.
